Signature Aviation KMDW Pilot Reviews

May 22, 2024For a Cirrus, overnight parking is $134 per night compared to $54 at Atlantic. Other fees are comparable, although Atlantic mandates 18 gallons or a top-off to waive the handling fee (Signature requires 10 gallons).

July 28, 2023Visited in a piston single and made the mistake of trusting prior reviews and the AOPA site for fee information. They were inaccurate. Signature charges $131 for overnight parking; Atlantic is $20. Both waive handling fees with 10 gallons (Signature) or 15 (Atlantic). The final price was $357 for two nights in a two-seat piston single at Signature—and that was after a discount. There was no marshaling or assistance provided upon departure. The front desk personnel were courteous and helpful, though a bit slow during both arrival and departure.

July 22, 2023The worst FBO experience in 32 years of flying. If you’re not arriving in an aircraft burning Jet-A, do yourself a favor and go to Atlantic instead. I fly a PA-32 and was the only piston on the flight line. I was only in for a few hours and did not require any services. I was hoping Signature would be located closer to the Orange line for easy access to my meeting downtown—it is not. My mistake. I asked if I could get a ride to the train and received one with a smile. I tipped the driver and was told, "Just call when you come back and we can usually pick you up." That sounded great. So I called and spoke to Nicole at the desk, and she confirmed, "No problem, I’ll send someone." After 40 minutes waiting, I called back and reached Ashley. It became obvious that I had been forgotten. I asked if I should just call a cab, and she said someone would be there in 10 minutes. After waiting another 20 minutes, I took a cab. When I asked Ashley why no one simply said they were too busy, she then started with passive-aggressive behavior. There was no apology or even any acknowledgement of the delay.
