Excellent small airport! There are several flight schools present, so anticipate a busier traffic pattern with student pilots. Many pilots practice the RNAV 7 approach; the preferred runway is 25. Always verify both ends before taxiing onto the active runway. Winds frequently differ between the final approach path and the threshold for runway 25. During gusty conditions, the local terrain results in a turbulent approach. Sky Trails Aviation's maintenance facility and flight school is a fantastic location to visit if you haven't been before. Their hangar serves as a nice gathering area, and the staff there are incredibly welcoming!
