Excellent airport for a stopover! We arrived around 4:30 PM and managed to get our rental car before the FBO closed for the day. The owner suggested El Rodeo Mexican restaurant; we were certainly not let down! I highly recommend this facility for any transient pilot. Make sure to park your aircraft only in the designated tie-down spots. They frequently host both helicopters and turboprop aircraft. Parking in areas without tie-down ropes can lead to significant issues from rotor wash, potentially causing damage to your plane!

Flew into M17 to refuel and pick up a passenger, only to be stranded because of an electrical issue preventing the aircraft from starting. The A&P technician, Rex, assisted in troubleshooting on the ramp without success. They maneuvered some aircraft and placed mine in the hangar so we could continue diagnostics. Since they couldn't resolve it immediately, they moved me into the corporate hangar so the Cirrus A&P specialist could work on it the next day. We successfully repaired the issue and departed the following day—all provided free of charge! My sincere appreciation goes out to Rex, Seth, and the entire crew! That is true Midwest hospitality.

I enjoyed this FBO. I stopped here twice recently. Both times the staff was friendly, the fuel pump was easy to use, the facility was clean, and the fuel was inexpensive. I plan on stopping here again.
