Ascension FBO Network KWYS Pilot Reviews

December 11, 2025The FBO is closed until May 2026, according to a sign on the door. I must have overlooked that detail on the information page. I noticed the 'no fuel' notice, but I missed the closure announcement.

July 26, 2025The FBO staff were wonderfully helpful, attentive, and accommodating, even for those of us staying at the campground next to their ramp. Be sure to purchase fuel from Ascension and support their operation. We are fortunate to have such a resource in this beautiful region!

June 28, 2025Excellent experience overall. I was marshalled to the parking spot, and the aircraft was promptly chalked and tied down. We had emailed the day before inquiring about aircraft rentals; they suggested we reserve a car from the terminal. We never shared contact details with the FBO or Avis. I was genuinely surprised when a rental car was driven directly to the aircraft. The Customer Service Manager conducted the research herself and contacted Avis immediately upon hearing us call into the traffic pattern. I was impressed by that level of service for general aviation operations. P.S. The local BBQ establishment is quite good.

May 13, 2025Kudos to the team at Ascension WYS! They extended a warm welcome and offered useful suggestions regarding excellent local spots for fly fishing. Matt was very helpful, and although we were initially told their fuel truck was temporarily out of service, they had it operational the very next day, allowing us to refuel promptly. Truly excellent personnel at the FBO!

July 12, 2024Terrible FBO experience! Why is JetA priced at $9.00 per gallon? We landed our Kodiak around 4:40 PM and requested fuel right away, yet there were no other aircraft present. The FBO closes at 5:00 PM, and staff members were certainly on site. We were billed $200 for an after-hours call-out fee. We requested this charge be waived, but that was unsuccessful. This seems completely unfair! Once all fees were calculated, the effective fuel price reached $18 per gallon.
