Porter County Regional Airport KVPZ Pilot Reviews

September 20, 2025I'm uncertain about the positive feedback others have shared. This was my second visit in two years. Upon arrival, the staff were seated inside. That's fine; I am quite independent. However, the staff stared as I entered, and nobody offered a greeting. I was confused about the situation. When I returned later that day, the reception was equally cold. I managed to get fuel and departed. So, no issues with the fueling service itself. Overall, I rate the FBO's friendliness as 0/10. It was quite strange. I certainly wouldn't describe this FBO as welcoming or approachable.

September 12, 2025I must agree with Luke's comments. This is certainly not one of the friendlier FBOs around. The gentleman driving the fuel truck was pleasant; we shared a laugh regarding the $1.10 difference in fuel prices between Valpo and Lansing. However, upon entering the office to inquire about a ramp fee for skipping the overpriced fuel, I waited while the two staff members concluded a rather trivial conversation before I could interrupt and ask. For fuel, head over to KIGQ.

June 2, 2025Stopped here again after weather diversion. Personnel were exceptionally helpful. The facility is superb. This is consistently a good stop for either a quick top off with SS fuel or for an overnight stay.

February 9, 2025We had to divert here on a Sunday afternoon to attend to a passenger who became ill. The FBO staff were exceptionally pleasant and supportive. They supplied us with necessary cleaning supplies and were quite accommodating. The FBO facility is spacious, clean, and features a coffee machine. I strongly recommend this location for a stopover.
