Jet Aviation KVNY Pilot Reviews

I just discovered the manager decided their line personnel are not qualified to use GPUs with smaller aircraft, even though they have been performing this task for years. Therefore, I suggest calling other FBOs if you require assistance with a light plane jump.

They stated their overnight charge for a Cessna 182 was $250 per night, which could be waived if 150 gallons of fuel were purchased (it takes approximately 7 gallons to fly my aircraft there, and my total capacity is only 75 gallons). Consequently, I opted to fly in daily instead and was informed I would incur a $50 security deposit. This is the sole Fixed Base Operator I have encountered at an airport without commercial airline service that imposed a security charge. I chose to go to Prop Park instead.

Castle and Cooke Aviation at KVNY has been consistently disappointing over nearly two years. Since securing the CAA fuel contract at my home field, service has been sluggish, unwelcoming, and forgetful. The line crew rolls their eyes when I arrive, declines to fuel at my hangar, and once shouted at me after I parked where their own frequency instructed me to. KVNY offers superior FBOs—try any other location. If the atmosphere shifts, I might reconsider, but I remain skeptical.
