Mountain West Aviation KTVL Pilot Reviews

July 30, 2025Just went to Tahoe for a weekend getaway with my wife and two young children (1 yo and 2yo), which is never easy traveling! The staff made it extremely convenient and assisted me at every step, even loading my luggage into the Uber. They provided excellent hotel and dining suggestions; I eagerly anticipate returning to this location soon. My thanks once more to everyone at Mountain West (941CD).

December 17, 2024A big plus for Mountain West Aviation. We called ahead and were provided a direct line to Enterprise, where they arranged for a rental car delivery. A slight misunderstanding led us to call for fuel after hours, but their staff member was incredibly helpful and prompt, even waiting until we managed to start our somewhat temperamental 470 engine, and contacted us via radio upon departure. We will certainly return soon!

November 9, 2024Positive experience with Mountain West Aviation. They directed me to tie-down upon arrival and clearly communicated the fees. Our Cessna 182 incurred a $10 charge from the city and $15 from the FBO, totaling $50 for two nights (departing before noon on the day of departure). An interesting tidbit: this airport was utilized for filming Top Gun 2, and it previously hosted commercial service years ago. The approach on final to Runway 18 was turbulent during the afternoon.

June 4, 2024The staff here was very friendly and helpful. We stayed two nights with a Piper Arrow, MTOW 2500 lbs. Although we only took 15 gallons of 100LL fuel, they charged us two separate $24 ramp fees and two $15 tiedown fees, totaling $78 in fees for the two nights—quite substantial for a small single-engine aircraft.
