This FBO used to be Hawthorne. BEWARE of visiting this fixed-base operator. They impose very expensive event surcharges on game days, and you should anticipate paying around $900 for any King Air or larger aircraft. This cost is added to the municipal fees. Smaller general aviation aircraft will not receive any fee relief either.

I've been frequenting this FBO since its former name was Bama Air. I have consistently used their services until this recent change. Following the latest ownership transition to Ascension Air, they have begun imposing a $100 event/activity fee during major sporting event weekends. While I cannot speak for basketball events, this certainly applies to football weekends. I find this charge excessive. I recently learned that the other FBO located on the field imposes no such event/activity fee. I intend to utilize their services going forward. I do not operate a multi-million dollar jet; therefore, every dollar counts.

Excellent FBO, super friendly and professional staff. I am in and out of KTCL every week, and they are the best to deal with on game days; the line crew is highly experienced and very efficient.
