A very pleasant FBO experience. Staff were extremely friendly. They offered us a courtesy vehicle to drive into town for brunch. We did not purchase fuel for the return flight in a C182 heading to NE FL. The only charge incurred was a parking/admin fee—I think it was under $16. Full services are available if required. We would certainly recommend this facility and use them again.

Velocity has listened to the GA community and lowered their self-serve 100LL price to the lowest within about a 75-mile radius of SSI. Very competitive, and it takes only a 10-gallon purchase from self-serve to waive any ramp fees. Excellent FBO, nice new crew cars, good nearby BBQ, and affordable fuel. They deserve credit for responding to the concerns of their users!

First time up to SSI for the BBQ. Excellent food and wonderful people. Avgas wasn't overly expensive considering the tourist clientele either. I highly recommend Beachcombers!

Flew in for the weekend in a Cessna 172. Called ahead to confirm the associated fees. They came to approximately $20 per night for parking and a $15 ramp fee, though the ramp fee was waived with the purchase of 10 gallons of fuel. Very pleasant FBO, with friendly personnel.

Under new management, and they seem to have forgotten how to train for great customer service. I have been stopping here for years and always received excellent service previously. It was raining, and nobody came out to offer us a ride to the FBO until we had walked a considerable distance. Furthermore, the aircraft seats were damp. We requested a top-off while we went to lunch, but this task was not completed. We asked to be fueled, but the single Avgas truck was positioned on the far side of the airfield. After waiting an extended period, we departed without fuel. The staff members were pleasant, but they simply attributed the issues to system failures.
