Eagle Aviation is top-notch. The service was friendly and attentive. The airport is currently undergoing improvements, including a new FBO building and other facility upgrades.

I flew into SPF to visit some friends in my C182 from Colorado. Truly professional service, complimentary tie downs, and fair fuel prices. I took my friend's young sons up for their first small airplane ride, and they hosted us kindly while we moved the boys in and out of the aircraft. I experienced a pitot tube blockage upon departure, and Milt in MX took the time to remove the pitot tube, clean the very stuck blockage, and performed a very thorough inspection, getting me airborne again in just 2 hours. Excellent FBO!

We were pleased that we selected Spearfish as a base for our Black Hills journey. Similar to what others have mentioned, the staff (Matt for us) were keen to assist, rolling out a red carpet for us to walk to the rental car near the aircraft. Additional observations: (1) The airport is situated in a valley with distinct weather compared to KRAP or KRCA; it is less windy. (2) With RNAV 13, the descent from 10000 feet can be demanding (we were flying a Mooney). If feasible, cancel IFR to begin the visual descent. (3) Be ready to use your phone instead of RCO for clearances.

Excellent service and friendly staff members. The rental car was waiting for us upon arrival. Mechanics jumped into action when we discovered an issue. We will certainly return.
