A quiet little airport. Bob and the young lady behind the counter at the FBO were exceptionally pleasant. The FBO facility is clean and straightforward. They offered a courtesy car, allowing us to keep it overnight. Since I was visiting my CDT hiking companions, having the small SUV was quite convenient. If you plan to stay the night, the Fairfield Inn is adequate. For an excellent dinner, The Aspen House is highly recommended; casual attire is fine. Their steaks are superb.

Called a day before arrival. Bob was waiting to marshal us in, fuel truck at the ready. He had us topped off in no time and on our way- William 8324s

By far the worst FBO experience I've ever encountered. Landed here with an oil pressure indication problem. After a few minutes they drove a fuel truck over, and we inquired if they had maintenance available. They stated, "No," and drove off. There was no offer to assist, no check if everything was alright, and no offer of a tool or a mechanic to contact. NO MAINTENANCE AVAILABLE AT THIS LOCATION; do not divert here! Furthermore, I would never schedule them as a fuel stop in the future due to their impolite personnel and evident lack of concern.

These folks are top-notch! Stopped for fuel early in the afternoon in my RV6. David met the aircraft with the fuel truck prepared just as I arrived on the taxiway. My plan was a fast stop for fuel then proceed eastward. While refueling, we checked the sky and the weather that was starting to move in. David kindly offered to hangar the aircraft for the evening and supply a crew car. He also provided excellent suggestions for both dinner and accommodation. We had quite a wonderful, genuine, and rustic stop. Superb!
