Stopped to pick up a friend who dropped a car off at the hospital. I was not greeted by anyone until the engine was off and I was exiting the aircraft. I had no idea I would be charged a ramp fee when nobody was even present. As I walked out of the lobby, an attendant told me I needed to pay or purchase fuel. I was surprised because I was only there for 10 minutes. Consequently, I had to pay for 13 gallons for my 182 even though I did not require any fuel. This is Rifle, not Aspen or Vail. I will certainly never stop there again. ST

Similar to other feedback, exercise significant caution. We dropped off the safety pilot at no charge, but when collecting him a few days later, we were billed $450 for a 35-minute stop involving a KingAir 90. Waiving the landing fee with a fuel purchase was refused because I could only pump 90 gallons instead of the mandated 100. I was advised that if parking further west on the county ramp and exiting via the metal gate (bypassing the FBO), there would be no charge. When I inquired how I would then return the rental car since the counter is inside the FBO, I received no response other than that payment would be required.
