Before choosing Ascension, I called ahead to check the associated fees. Sometimes charges can be quite high at busier, corporate airports. I was informed that landing fees for my M500 would be waived with a 30-gallon fuel purchase. I utilized CAA, which kept the fuel cost sensible. The lobby is impressive, and the staff proved friendly and very helpful. I would certainly recommend this FBO.

This is *not* Hawthorne. Those were fine people. There was never a ramp fee for pilots based locally. They offered great support for events and were truly part of the GA community. Recently, I taxied up to their vacant ramp to drop off my piston single. Six line personnel immediately surrounded my aircraft like a carjacking attempt. Cones were deployed, chocks were placed, and one individual stood directly in front of the plane to ensure the ramp fee was paid. I was told, "You must go pay your ramp fee inside." Alright, fair enough. $120 for a piston single? This is certainly not the Hawthorne I remember. I will not be returning.

Had a fantastic flight today. The pre-flight briefing was thorough, covering all necessary aspects for safe operation. I flew circuits for about an hour. The aircraft handled beautifully, very responsive controls. I noticed the tail number was recently updated, but the performance remains top-notch. Highly recommend this service for anyone needing flight time at PWK.

I just called to inquire about landing briefly to drop off a single passenger in a single-engine Cessna, and I was informed the charge would be $130 if we didn't purchase fuel. We have utilized this facility multiple times previously when flying in with the corporate jet I pilot, and the service was always satisfactory. However, I was quite surprised to learn they would impose such a high fee for a simple drop-off in a small single-engine aircraft.
