The airport presented a somewhat confusing layout due to closed taxiways, subpar runways, and grass that was difficult to spot. It is advisable to use runways 13/31 or 17/35. The FBO facility was pleasant, and a fueler promptly assisted us with tying down the aircraft. If you require transportation anywhere, reach out to Pam at (956)-371-9119. She is the most helpful person I have encountered in a long time! She stopped by the store so we could quickly grab groceries, and she assisted us in checking into our lodging and viewing a portion of the Padre Island area. All of this cost just $30.

I've been using Southwind PIL on annual trips to SPI for years. Danny has gone above and beyond every year. Both Danny and Rodney are very friendly and take excellent care of our aircraft for our week long stay. Hangar space is secure, clean, and dry. Nice facilities inside the FBO. I always look forward to returning. Highly recommend this service.
