Visited to see the museum and have lunch at the diner. Both aspects were very good. Most of the aircraft and vehicles are still operational! The museum staff are happy to converse and address inquiries. We proceeded to the FBO for self-serve fuel—the pricing was competitive!

The FBO is quite nice, offering convenient self-service fuel. Tie-down charges were rather high at $25 per night for my RV-10, though one night was complimentary with a fuel purchase.

Parked overnight on the ramp. There was a $25/night fee for parking. I did not require any services from the FBO. The next day, heavy snow arrived before I could depart. The charter company kindly offered to store my aircraft in the hangar at no charge for a few hours while I waited for the snow to pass, ensuring I wouldn't return to a snow-covered plane!

Stopped in for clear customs. Fueling was quite convenient, and the personnel were extremely helpful. It is advisable to call ahead regarding customs procedures and inquire if they have any arriving ferries scheduled, as this might slightly delay their processing.

Diverted here to avoid storms on the way to Airventure. We fueled up and debated whether to try and go around the storms. Clay, at the desk, mentioned two hotels within walking distance to the FBO, and a great Mexican restaurant next to them. That, fatigue, the offer to get tucked inside the hangar ($95), and use of the crew car overnight convinced us to spend the night. It’s a well-run operation, and Clay and the staff went above and beyond to assist us.
