Had an excellent lunch at KOYM today only to drain my battery during a normal start-up procedure. Called Vince, airport manager, who came out on a Saturday afternoon and charged my battery and closed up my battery box after a successful start. Thanks so much Vince, God works in not so mysterious ways, just through wonderful servants.

Be aware if you get stuck at the airport overnight there are three hotels nearby. There is no transportation available—no taxi or Uber service. One mechanic is available and is excellent. The airport FBO closes on weekends, but the restaurant remains open. The closest commercial airline airport is Bradford, which is an hour away. Therefore, if you are stranded on a weekend, you might secure a ride to the hotel from a based pilot or a restaurant employee.
