Outstanding service provided to me in my Cirrus. I will certainly return.

Line service is awful unless you are operating a jet. I arrived on the ramp and was completely ignored by the ground crew. I contacted them via Unicom to state I was staying overnight and required parking instructions. A line attendant walked out, gestured toward some tie-down locations, and then departed. I parked my aircraft myself and subsequently had to request chocks. The staff inside were excellent and assisted me in securing a hotel and transportation. Parking costs $50 per night for a single-engine piston aircraft, which feels excessive considering the poor service I received.

The experience here was surprising and quite disappointing. The marshaller was very rude, signaling for us to move away and park far from the main building, yet offered no direction on where to proceed. Eventually, another line service agent arrived with a golf cart to direct us to a remote parking spot. Nobody secured the aircraft with chocks. We felt ignored by all the line personnel. We were picking up a passenger with an injured leg who had to hobble a considerable distance out to the edge of the ramp. The return trip was similarly frustrating. We opted for self-fueling as a direct result of this treatment. I have never encountered this level of service before, and I felt compelled to apologize to my passenger.

Stopped in here on a cross country from Portland to Milwaukee. North Star was a fantastic FBO; they have a great pilot lounge. Self-serve fuel is located a bit away, across from the training facility. The staff was very accommodating—no ramp fee was charged.
