Signature Aviation KMCI Pilot Reviews

I was slightly concerned after reading some negative feedback, but our experience here was genuinely positive. The weather presented challenges, featuring moderate icing during the approach, and we observed ice buildup on all aircraft landing and on the ground. Despite being extremely busy, the Signature staff assisted us promptly and facilitated a quick departure. Even though we were operating a small Vision Jet, the service remained excellent. Fuel prices are high, which is expected at a busy Class B airport, and we were aware of this beforehand.

Since January 8th, they haven't had a de-icing truck available. We were stranded here for two days until another company provided the de-icing service. Be cautious of that situation.

They do not stock government contract fuel. However, if you call and inquire, they might state that they do. They actually do not. Ask them specifically if they accept the air card or if they maintain a contract—it is the former. There is no contract in place for negotiated pricing.

Just made a stop at Signature MCI. I’ve been visiting this location for many years now. We all know Signature tends to be among the pricier FBOs, but this is becoming excessive. For a King Air, I was charged over $500 for just 15 minutes on the ramp. My only contact with staff involved a line technician chocking the aircraft and the desk agent processing the payment. Beyond that, nobody assisted with carrying passenger luggage to the aircraft, and no one even came to remove the wheel chocks. I am genuinely questioning the justification for that $500 fee.
