I enjoyed my return flight here today with a new pilot friend. I spoke with Neil (airport) on the phone a couple times, and he greeted us today as well. Very personable and helpful—thank you for the crew car. We took off on runway 30, but it is a bit bumpy and has cracks. I recommend using 8/26, which we landed on. The reported in-op VASI on runway 26 was functioning fine.

This airport doesn't seem too bad! The only issue was that the 24-hour self-service wasn't actually available 24 hours. I flew in with a friend around 11 PM, and there were no lights on the ramp to guide us. We eventually flashed our landing light at the self-serve sign, but the pump wouldn't dispense fuel even after following all the steps. Perhaps it was just an off night for fuel availability, but the ramp definitely requires some floodlights given how severely damaged some sections of the pavement are.
