Freeman Jet Center - Lake Charles KLCH Pilot Reviews

A professional pilot, and it has been some time since I was this impressed by an FBO. Exceptionally friendly and capable service. The FBO has been modernized, featuring pleasant snacks and wonderful staff.

They charge $36 to park a 182 for two hours.

Extremely friendly and professional service. The FBO facility is very nice, and they offer several snack choices. Upon arrival on 11/26/2025, I was able to utilize the crew car for lunch before arranging an Uber to our hotel. We purchased 20 gallons of fuel, incurring no other charges upon departure on 11/28/2025. I will certainly stop here again.

Flew in from Tampa Executive for a quick turn. The crew had me fueled rapidly. Clean, modern facility. Duncan was friendly and welcoming. Freeman Jet Center is efficient and professional.

The difference between self-serve and full-service options is substantial. Previously, one could utilize self-serve fueling and then enter the facility for snacks, drinks, and ice cream as advertised on the fuel pump, but that policy has changed. If you desire coffee or a fountain beverage, a facility fee is now required. I will not be a regular customer at this location anymore.

February 2025 - Daytime cross-country 100LL stop. Self-serve pump operating correctly; the receipt printer at the pump was inoperative, but I obtained a receipt at the Freeman desk. I stopped for one hour, and there were no extra charges associated with the fuel purchase. Complimentary soft drinks, popcorn, chips, and ice cream were available; a very nice, clean, and comfortable facility. Friendly tower and approach controllers were present; it is not an overly busy airport.
