Sound Aircraft Services KJPX Pilot Reviews

Expectations were low coming into this location given the other reviews. However, I have nothing negative to report. The Quick Service Refueling points lived up to the photo.

Rude and unfriendly service. After landing, a line attendant sternly told me to contact 122.85 before taxiing onto the ramp next time (as if it were a busy holiday at a major airport). I observed that there was absolutely no other aircraft present on the ramp! He then walked away to join the other three ground crew members who were socializing outside the FBO while I carried my luggage across the pavement. The personnel inside were pleasant, so this criticism is directed solely at the afternoon line staff. Steer clear!

The line and desk staff are top notch. However, the administrative staff are rude and condescending. When I complained about the poor customer service, I was thanked for not returning, as it would supposedly lower the traffic volume, which they claimed would benefit the community! That shows a poor business model for a public airport.

The service was quite pricey for what was offered, charging $80 just to land. This was for the 182RG.

For a Bonanza, I was quoted a ramp fee of $150 per calendar day; thus, an overnight stay counts as two calendar days, totaling $300. It remains unclear if an additional landing fee applies.

I am quite fed up with these individuals taking their frustrations out on the pilot who flies in with their Cessna 172 to visit family. It is truly disheartening. I shall not be returning to this location.
