ITR is such an enjoyable destination, especially with welcoming people like Zach, in the office. He happily allowed me use of a crew car so I could grab a delicious Mexican lunch in town.

Kit Carson is consistently a superb stop! Pleasant FBO, crew cars readily available, and Dan is always wonderful to speak with.

I chose this location as my stop while heading west, allowing ample time before reaching the Rockies. As other pilots have noted, the facilities here are quite good. It's very welcoming for transient piston aircraft. Indeed, they left the courtesy car keys right on the counter after I called ahead. Excellent hotels are situated just five minutes away. I phoned in the morning, and they promptly towed the aircraft to the ramp and fueled it for me. I certainly plan on returning.

This is an update to my post four years ago. Daniel is still running the show and he is absolutely amazing. He has added some nice personal touches over the years. If it makes sense, I will always stop here. Even if it doesn't make sense, I will go out of my way to stop here. Facilities and service are dependable. The Dish is still excellent. Carlos the Manager is fantastic and really cares about the food, service, and the employees. I have always been able to borrow a crew car to grab a bite to eat.

Recently stopped here to transport a critical patient. The staff was very helpful and came out and fueled our aircraft. It was very easy to get ahold of them, and they are available 24/7 to assist. The FBO looks great, offering coffee, comfortable seating, and everything else you would anticipate from a quality facility. I would rate these folks 10/10; you can rely on their service.
