Stopped at KHWV for fuel and was informed by the staff member that the landing fee is waived. A couple of weeks later, Vector Planepass sent an invoice for $7.00. While not a substantial charge, it is irritating. I suspect this is the system that utilizes your ADSB tracking for billing purposes.

Finding Mid Air Service SS fuel is somewhat challenging. From Runway 15, use taxiway D and continue straight ahead. It almost feels like a taxiway leading nowhere! The pumps lack clear visibility markings. They appear as two substantial boxes, roughly four feet tall, covered with a grey waterproof cloth. These covers feature zippers allowing for complete sealing during inclement weather. The credit card device, which is covered in green, is situated between the covered pumps. The unit on the right is designated for General Aviation.

The pre-flight service for my C185 was excellent. The fuel truck arrived promptly, and the line crew handled the tie-down procedures perfectly. I noticed a small oil leak on the ramp after I departed, but the team at KHWV was very helpful resolving it upon my return. They managed the paperwork efficiently too. I will certainly use this FBO again for my next trip through the area.
