OK3 Air KHCR Pilot Reviews

My experience with OK3 has cost me thousands of dollars in unnecessary charges and downtime. They misdiagnosed beta ring wear on my PC12 and sent it off for unneeded replacement. They cannot seem to get a qualified A&P who remembers to balance the flaps after replacing components. They miss sign-offs on their work, effectively putting us in an AOG situation. They are sloppy, expensive, and unresponsive. I have taken my business elsewhere, and I would advise others to do the same.

Prices here are relatively high, likely due to limited competition and perhaps some unfriendly municipal regulations. However, I fly into KHCR several times annually, and my interactions with the FBO counter staff are consistently positive. The ramp personnel appear somewhat unenthusiastic regarding piston aircraft, though they will certainly assist if prompted.

The Heber Valley Airport in Utah is considered the worst in the nation by the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association for its fuel prices, service, and fees. The primary issue is the lack of competition, with only one fixed-base operator, OK AIR, holding a monopoly, resulting in excessive charges such as high fuel costs and ramp fees.
