A lesson learned—always test the reentry gate code before departing the field! I came back at 05:00 the following morning only to discover that the gate code buttons were malfunctioning. I phoned the after-hours number, and they did respond to inform me that an alternate box exists on the interior side, requiring one to reach through the gate to operate it. It's one of those details that seems apparent once observed, but I was so concentrated on getting the exterior box to function that I never considered looking for an interior box.

Flew into Gallup for a weekend fly-in with 17 airplanes. The line crew was prepared for everyone, and they had us parked and fueled promptly. Excellent service!

The service was very helpful when we landed in high winds. There was no courtesy car provided, but the taxi dispatch office shares a building with the FBO. However, they declined to give us a door code so we could depart before their 7:00 AM opening, asserting it had been non-functional all year! Yet, any taxi driver could grant access after hours. Quite peculiar, very peculiar indeed.

Clearly, this was unusual traffic over the three days in delivering donations, which you kindly collected for SWIF, in addition to your standard responsibilities on the Ramp, Fueling, Admin, and so forth.
