Granbury Regional Airport KGDJ Pilot Reviews

July 14, 2025I was in GDJ for three days, and I was greeted by a friendly attendant who arranged close-in tie-down for me and fueled my aircraft before departure. The FBO facility is quite nice. Be aware that it is a considerable distance from the self-serve pumps, so anticipate paying the fuel truck price (which remains reasonable for an FBO in a Metroplex area). Enterprise delivered a rental car directly to the FBO without any trouble. GDJ serves as an excellent stopover point to bypass the more congested major city airports.

July 11, 2024KGDJ is phasing out self-fueling because when the new terminal opens, it will be too far from the pumps. Therefore, you might receive fuel pumping service, or you might not. I suspect it depends on the staff member on duty.

June 12, 2024Stopped in today for some fuel and lunch. The line attendant was out at the pumps before I could exit the aircraft and handled the fueling. There were many crew cars accessible. The FBO staff were exceptionally friendly, the avgas was reasonably priced, and there were ample tie-down locations available.

January 15, 2024Excellent fuel stop just outside of the Dallas Bravo airspace. Plenty of flight school activity. The FBO personnel were out at the self-service fuel pumps when we arrived; they processed my card and fueled our twin for us. The FBO facility was superb and tidy, the team is fantastic. Other Fixed Base Operators should certainly take note!

January 1, 2024I have always appreciated this airport and FBO! Self-service or assisted service costs the same. The fuel pump is a dual-sided drive-through, making for a quick and easy stop. I trust the new FBO location will be just as pilot-friendly. There are ample crew cars available. Other airports might benefit from observing KGDJ.
