Fort Dodge Flight Support KFOD Pilot Reviews

July 28, 2025Only self-serve fuel is available, no full service. The staff are friendly, and the pilot lounge has comfortable seating. Tie-downs are located right beside the terminal building.

January 28, 2025I was surprised to learn yesterday when I made a fuel stop that the AvGas is currently self serve. Previously I had always been fueled up with their truck at the terminal. It would be convenient if there was a Notam for this; it would have saved me time and the need to start two engines again just to taxi over to the fuel farm. I have consistently received good service there in the past.

January 14, 2025The personnel at Fort Dodge Flight Support are friendly and helpful. I was marshaled in and chocked for easy parking by the door. Inside, the facilities are neat and clean. I utilized the Crown Vic for a quick trip into town and also used the self-service fuel.

November 22, 2024I fly in frequently as my daughter is attending college nearby. Excellent staff. Very helpful. Full service fuel is reasonably priced. Clean restrooms and nice pilot lounge. The only thing that could make it better is a Keurig coffee maker. They have a full size pot but it's not always practical to make a whole pot for just a single cup now and then. Two courtesy vehicles are available for use—an old Crown Vic and a van. I mentioned the tires needed replacing, and the following weekend, it had two new tires fitted. Wonderful people.

August 17, 2024Stopped at FOD for RON when weather precluded continuing east. Met us on the ramp, loaned us a crew car overnight. Full service fuel was very reasonable. Very nice facilities here. This is certainly a GA-friendly location, even for us single-engine prop operators.
