Kerrville Aviation KERV Pilot Reviews

During the recent flood events, we made several trips in and out of Kerrville. The staff at the airport were superb handling all the aircraft they were managing that entire week. Despite the heavy rescue aircraft presence and various political leaders coming and going, the FBO personnel worked with excellent coordination.

Pleasant FBO, no fees associated with fuel, exceptional service. We enjoy hiking in the Hill Country (Enchanted Rock, Garner State Park, etc.). Since we often decide to travel just a couple of days in advance, securing a rental car at T82 is nearly impossible. I arrange for Enterprise to leave a vehicle for me, and the ground crew at ERV delivers it directly to the aircraft! Furthermore, it features two non-parallel runways, making entry usually quite straightforward even when wind is a concern. A wonderful FBO and airport! C182.

Upon landing near sunset, perhaps the service quality suffered a bit. They enforce a two-hour limit on crew car usage. The evening manager seemed more focused on rental car logistics. The Y-O hotel provides complimentary shuttle service, conveniently located near Cracker Barrel, Starbucks, and Whataburger. Self-service fuel pricing remains competitive.

Very nice FBO facility. They have a vending machine offering a decent selection of snacks. The maintenance team provided crucial assistance late on a Friday afternoon, around 5:20 PM, when our aircraft experienced starting issues.

A pleasant, albeit busy, stopover location! I paid a $20.00 handling fee for a KA 200. Everything appeared to be a good deal.

The fees need updating. It was stated that fees are waived with a 100-gallon fuel purchase, but the actual requirement seems to be 375 gallons.
