Fuel stop during an extended cross-country journey; a clean facility with prompt service. While there were no complimentary items or snacks, the fuel cost was favorable. Numerous training aircraft were operating in the pattern, yet the tower staff were very accommodating regarding our entry into the traffic circuit.

I was not impressed with the service provided. On my turn to final approach and after making my radio calls, I clearly stated "to the FBO" so they would be aware of my arrival. After landing, I called the FBO twice on Unicom to inquire if they required me to park in a specific location—I received no response. I proceeded to park the aircraft (C172), set the chocks, gathered my belongings, and still, nobody emerged. I then walked inside the facility only to find the attendant sitting at the desk with the radio playing loudly. While I do not anticipate five-star treatment, this level of inattention was truly unacceptable.

Pleased I made a call beforehand! Be sure to have your auto insurance card ready if you plan to utilize the crew car. That's an interesting policy. A really nice small airport.

I stopped by on my way to Oshkosh and was welcomed with open arms by Judy and Barry. The weather had deteriorated, so I took advantage of the pilot lounge and the pin coded access. With my bedding it was quite comfortable, and I was able to wait out the storm and depart early the next day. Barry recommended a super nice BBQ restaurant, and I picked up my supper using the courtesy car, enjoying a fantastic meal overlooking the airport. The fuel was reasonably priced, and I would certainly recommend this FBO.
