I chose Sedalia over KRCM for an overnight stay before meetings at Whiteman. It is a fantastic stop: one of the quietest small airports I have encountered, yet it features a long concrete runway, older concrete taxiway, a spacious ramp, and a seemingly brand new FBO. The staff were exceptionally friendly, even considering the low volume of traffic they handle daily. Sedalia presents as a classic midwestern town, offering the standard selection of chain hotels and eateries alongside some unique, locally-owned establishments.

Excellent stop! Derrick the airport manager and head of maintenance is a great guy! I stopped in for the night on business, and weather kept me grounded for another night; they were very flexible and accommodating regarding hangar space and the crew car. Derrick also offered a lending hand trying to get my cigarette lighter to work so I could charge my devices. I will certainly return!
