Avflight and KDET represent one of the most convenient locations I have had the pleasure to utilize. Each visit results in a very positive experience.

Flew into KDET in a Bonanza. Received excellent service from the five staff members I interacted with. Fantastic service. Topped off with fuel, which was very fairly priced. They offer a shuttle service that will take you downtown for a modest fee. Hangar space for my Bonanza was $175 per night, which I considered too high compared to other major metro airports. They are planning a new FBO to break ground this autumn.

Landed here to clear customs, which was quite easy and straightforward. Please call +1 (313) 393-3793 x3 at least 2 hours ahead of time. They confirmed availability is 24 hours. I was slightly hesitant about using this airport given some comments regarding the ramp conditions. It is rough in spots, but easily navigated around. The FBO personnel were extremely friendly and greeted us upon taxiing in. They allowed my wife to use their conference room for a meeting. Overnight parking was $10/night for a Mooney. An excellent FBO experience.
