The airport has been excellent for us over the years, offering a nice facility. However, during our most recent stop, the fuel service was quite slow, despite us notifying them of our arrival beforehand. A 'quick turn' for 100LL required approximately one hour from the moment we landed.

I have consistently enjoyed positive experiences flying into KCWC previously. However, on this occasion, we attempted to reach the terminal well ahead of the published closing time, and the facility was completely deserted.

This airport seems to be declining. The new management has implemented a $25 nightly fee for single-engine aircraft parking on an empty ramp, and $50 for twins. It is advisable to save your money and avoid this location. Wichita Valley is nearby and offers more economical fuel prices, too.
