Excellent service; we stopped here for fuel. Brendan went out of his way to assist!! I ran into town for a quick sandwich and coffee at Miners Cup. The food and coffee were superb!!!

Superb stop for Black Hills parks. Fairly priced self serve fuel. David was great. He answered the phone on a Sunday with necessary information. A separate enterprise is Todd, who keeps rental cars on the field; tel. 605/673-1983. Very reasonable rates for comfortable vehicles. Bring cash for a discount.

Brendan was exceptionally friendly and accommodating! This was a stop for us on the way home from Oshkosh, and our time in Custer proved to be a real highlight of the journey. Excellent airport, FBO, onsite camping, plus a nearby path for walking, running, or biking that connects to town.

Flew in on the 4th of July, Brenden came out to put our plane in a hangar. Excellent service, fair prices. We will stop there again.

This location is the destination if you are visiting Mt. Rushmore and Crazy Horse. Fuel prices are sensible, the service is very welcoming, and there is ample ramp space and tie-downs available—absolutely no fees charged. Rental cars can be secured right at the FBO for fair rates with simple collection and return. Zero complications! Furthermore, yes, you are permitted to fly over Mt. Rushmore and Crazy Horse. Just adhere to the published circling procedures and minimum altitude requirements. Remember that this is a high-altitude airport, and runway 28 features an uphill slope.
