July 2024, Cape Aviation transitioned from a friendly GA FBO to something quite different. We have flown in here repeatedly for over 8 years, and a negative change has occurred. There is a $20 landing fee for light single-engine aircraft. This fee is waived if fuel is purchased. Also, a $20 daily ramp fee applies just for parking; there are no waivers available for this charge. These new charges suggest that general aviation traffic is unwelcome, so we will certainly comply.

This was my initial overnight stop bringing my Waco YMF5 from Michigan back to Texas. They secured my aircraft inside a hangar for the evening. They kindly permitted me to use the crew car for travel into the city. The personnel here are quite friendly and professional. I would certainly stop here again.

Outstanding FBO experience. We called in about 15 minutes out requesting fuel for a fast turnaround in our Turbo 182, and the fuel truck arrived at the aircraft before we even exited the cockpit. Fuel prices were competitive, and the complimentary cookies inside were a welcome addition. I strongly endorse this service!

The minimum fuel uplift required to waive piston single aircraft landing fees was 10 gallons.

The staff was very friendly, and the fuel price was excellent. They provided us with a courtesy vehicle so we could reach a nearby eatery. The restaurant service, however, was slower than usual, and on Sunday evening, they were scheduled to close at 6 PM. I phoned to settle the fuel bill and arrange to return the car keys to the office. A staff member responded, "Don't worry about it; I will simply wait for you." Service like that is hard to beat!
