I arrived at KCDC for my solo cross-country flight and encountered unexpected delays due to technical issues with my aircraft. I was grounded from 12:00 to 23:00 local time. The ground crew and staff were incredibly supportive and hospitable!

Arrived from a long flight to a very friendly FBO. I was immediately greeted at my twin Aztec by two line staff members who offered assistance with our baggage. They noticed how much we had and promptly brought the crew car over just to help move it. I had a rental arranged through Enterprise, but I needed to travel into the city to pick it up. They kindly gave me a ride and even assisted with unloading the bags. For your information, I was able to return the rental car directly to the FBO. Everyone working there was exceptionally pleasant. The ramp fee was $10 per night. A word of caution: there is helicopter training occurring on the field. I experienced being cut off during landing by a hovering helicopter.

I contacted Sphere One to reserve three overnight tie-downs for my single-piston aircraft; they quoted $10 per night, which seemed fair. Three days later, the day prior to my scheduled arrival, I happened to call to confirm a rental car reservation. They then informed me that the owner decided to impose a $500 per night transient fee, citing the Las Vegas F1 situation. I am planning a trip to Zion with my family. Charging such an exorbitant fee is one thing, but altering our agreed-upon terms without prior notification is quite unprofessional. I will be taking my business elsewhere and have filed a report with AOPA.

We stopped in for an overnight stay. The entire crew was very helpful. We utilized the courtesy car and had an excellent visit. When we were ready to depart the following day, everything was handled smoothly. The tie-down fee was justified by the service. We truly felt like valued visitors. We certainly plan to return.
