I've visited this location several times recently using different single-engine piston aircraft. Fuel prices are consistently low, and the staff always offers welcoming service. Because this was formerly an army airfield, they feature some interesting WWII yearbooks pertaining to the base. P.S. What an excellent experience here last night! I was heading to SnF but needed to land for the evening due to weather conditions. I called ahead and spoke with Tommy; he pulled out the courtesy car for us, and we landed late. They fueled us using the fuel truck at the self-serve price this morning. What a wonderful guy and airport team they have here! We certainly plan to return.

Flew in just ahead of a line of severe thunderstorms. Line personnel marshaled us in, then offered hangar space as hail was predicted. With heavy rains coming down, we had no choice but to stay the night. We were provided a crew car and directions for local lodging. The airport team turned a flight delay into an excellent experience—we can’t thank everyone enough for their hospitality and kindness.
