Atlantic Aviation KBCT Pilot Reviews

Landed today in an Agusta 109 helicopter to pick up one passenger, did not shut down the engine. Received my invoice and found a $60 security fee (non-waivable), $353 facility fee (waived), and a $300 drop off/pick up fee (non-waivable), totaling $381.00 with tax, all this for just 5 minutes on the ground. Atlantic Aviation did nothing to earn their fee; my passenger walked to the helicopter, receiving no assistance with bags. I called to inquire about reducing the charge and was informed that the facility fee was waived. I will certainly never return to Boca.

I must say, I had an excellent experience at this location. I typically fly into a different FBO, but their overnight charges have become excessive. KBCT is genuinely half the cost, and the rental car was one-third the price! A line service agent met us with the vehicle, the fuel truck arrived promptly (fuel prices are certainly high, but this is South Florida), and we departed quickly. Takeoff was even smoother. I plan on returning here instead of using the other facility.

Atlantic BCT has been acquired by JSX, and they make it abundantly clear they prefer no other visitors. I visited in a CJ3 on a Sunday afternoon, and they levied a $750 "special event" charge against us. There was no event occurring, perhaps five aircraft (non-JSX) on their ramp, and Donald was not even in South Florida. This is ridiculous. Furthermore, their daily "landing fee" is already excessive.

A swift business stop in the SR22; we incurred no fuel purchase but paid a $25 ramp fee, which seemed fair for a short parking duration. The personnel were quite pleasant—it is certainly a bustling location.

The ground crew was slow with line service, and the tiedown fees seemed quite high.
