Tucson Aeroservice Center KAVQ Pilot Reviews

October 16, 2025The self serve 100LL is at the far south end just east of the approach end of Rwy 3; the pump worked fine for me. There are three parking spots just a few feet away in front of a gate that leads to the very cool restaurant. Nothing fancy, but the food was good and the staff were super friendly. There is a MASSIVE amount of parachute activity AT the field itself. As I was landing on Rwy 12, about a dozen parachutists were floating down right next to the runway. DO NOT OVERFLY THE RUNWAYS TO ENTER THE PATTERN! Keep your eyes wide open!

March 20, 2025Plenty of general aviation traffic, including trainers and parachutists. Do not anticipate much service from the FBO. Forget about renting a GPU; it is quite costly...

October 16, 2024Self-serve fuel is in an unmarked area but the two pumps are functional as far as I can tell. Credit card machine is a little sketchy and confusing but I got my card to work after a couple tries. I'm surprised the setup isn't better cared for but prices are high compared to nearby airports, so maybe demand is low. I only filled up because I was getting close to minimum reserve and was low on time.

May 2, 2024A wonderful facility with excellent staff. We experienced no issues whatsoever with the FBO operations. Very pleasant personnel. We appreciate the service.

March 1, 2024This was about as unfriendly and unhelpful as I have ever witnessed. Nobody came out to guide us in or show us where to park. Even after I shut down the engine right in front of the office, there was still no response. We unloaded, and when I went inside, the staff member directed me to park and secure the aircraft in a remote section of the airfield. I honestly don't believe I have ever encountered poorer service at an FBO.
