They offer a courtesy car and a very neat minivan for rent—quite economical. The FBO facility is very nice; it contains everything a pilot needs. I plan on returning: everyone in town is friendly and greets visitors, there are so many nice restaurants and shops, and the downtown area, beach walk, and murals are beautiful. This location is truly a gem.

Made a quick trip up to stop for fuel, and the experience was excellent! David was working and was very kind and courteous. We discussed aviation matters and he inquired if we required anything further. The Log Cabin FBO possesses an awesome atmosphere, and all the amenities provided are top-notch. The facility was very clean and welcoming! We certainly plan on returning soon.

A wonderful small log cabin FBO. I stopped in for fuel, and the FBO manager, Bill, is a truly stand-up fellow! He was exceptionally friendly and offered the utmost courtesy during my stop, making me feel like part of the family. If you enjoy airport dogs, he has the sweetest pair of Newfoundlands you will ever encounter. I will certainly return sometime when I can dedicate a full day to exploring the region!

Excellent stop if you enjoy hiking the Lake Superior shoreline or Copper Falls State Park. The airport facilities for overnight stays are very nice, and there are plenty of hotels nearby. An airport vehicle was unavailable during our visit, but we utilized the rental car arranged through Ray’s Auto Repair. I suggest calling them ahead of time to make arrangements. The car was waiting for us upon arrival and was easily returned upon departure.
