The FBO building and interior are quite nice. Fuel pumps are self-serve and convenient. The runway is wide and well-maintained. I saw another comment regarding bringing personal tie-downs. I did not realize this meant bringing physical ground anchors for your aircraft. You must park on the grass, and the ground surface is quite bumpy and soft. Ensure you bring your own ground anchors and tie-down straps. While I was visiting, the grass height was higher than anticipated. -Cirrus SR22

Interesting airport. There is not much of an FBO. You park on the grass and depart when you are ready to go. The self-serve fuel is quite convenient. There is a flight school operating within the FBO building, and the instructors there are quite friendly. Be sure to bring tie-downs if you plan an overnight stay, or call ahead for arrangements. The local people are welcoming and helpful. ForeFlight has Chicago Center listed for IFR clearance. When I contacted them, they provided the telephone number for Cedar Rapids approach. Everything worked out wonderfully.
