Standard pirep for 26N; cash daily fee (regardless of services), minimal interaction but did depart the field for an hour this time. Received alternate missed approach instructions while inbound from SIE. Pleasant playground outside the fence for the children.

The "On the way cafe" food truck behind the FBO has excellent food!

First time stopping at 26N. Sign outside indicates all pilots must register at the FBO. I walked in and stated, "I guess I need to register." The gentleman behind the counter gave me a blank look, as if I were strange. I clarified that this was my initial landing here and asked how to proceed with registration. He was quite grumpy, stating, "Sign the logbook, and it's twelve dollars." I attempted some casual conversation, remarking that the parking fee seemed reasonable for a resort area. He showed no interest in chatting. It was disappointing that the diner was closed; I ended up going into town for lunch.

The food truck near the cafe was excellent.
