The service was exceptionally friendly; they even managed to unlock the Jet A pump for us after standard operating hours.

We stopped in unexpectedly due to snow squalls around 7:30 PM (after closing) and before we even exited the aircraft. David greeted us. He was apparently in his pajamas, mentioned he was monitoring radio calls, and realized we weren't local, so he came out to offer assistance. He arranged hangar space for our aircraft, provided transportation to the hotel, and collected us the following morning. This was a fantastic experience during our unplanned stop in Bucyrus. We have flown across the eastern US many times, and Detray remains our family's preferred FBO, absolutely. Nowhere else have we encountered the level of hospitality that Kevin, his team, and the hangar cats offer! Last weekend we stopped by for a visit. I phoned ahead to ask about hangar space, but everything was occupied; however, Kevin, the manager, arranged for us to utilize a tenant's hangar since their aircraft was at the shop. He even greeted us upon landing and assisted with luggage. Detray is a true asset to the local area.

Superb! This location might be modest, yet they certainly know how to treat patrons well. The personnel insisted on securing my aircraft themselves. They fueled my plane and tied everything down, ensuring we lacked nothing further. What genuine assets to General Aviation. I will certainly return.
